Big Hair, Big Personality i heard

Yes my hair is Big,Yes it is curly, yes it is distracting, yes it might look a little crazy sometimes yes it might be a little dry sometimes. YES! thank you , but i'm well aware of this. There's no one day that i leave the house without looking in a mirror. I am well aware of all these things but i choose to leave it as it is, but don't get me wrong, i don't leave the house with the intention of looking like a mad person. I just would rather let my hair choose it own course of actions... sometimes. As a woman of color  there is too much of our identity being attached to our hair and the ideal of beauty is suppose to be bone straight hair or "mixed girl" hair , so what happens to the majority of the population with just plain kinky non-uniformly curled hair?. So we have to hide our hair because it's not accepted by society?.Should i be in love with Starbucks because that's what society says is okay or should i rob a bank to buy a Michael Kors watch because that is what is going to keep me relevant. If this is the case then i shall not be a perfect citizen of our so called society. Don't get me wrong i have no problem with people have straight hair or liking Starbucks but i'm just tired of people wanting to feel like i am not up to their standards because i do not have the same things or preferences they have. Please don't push your ideals down my throat. I love my hair kinky whether you like it or not is a debate you need to have with yourself but i will have my hair in its natural state, straight, braided even wefted (someday). These are all things that are of my concern. The state of my hair is not up for debate.

Outfit of the day 8/20/12

Magenta Skirt: $5.90 Salvation Army, Grey Tank top: Target $5
I went to salvation army yesterday unfortunately i didn't find as many things as i had hoped for to fit my personal style (bad timing i guess). Its best to go at the beginning of summer or end of year when people usually choose to get ride clothing. I was still able to find a few nice sweater for the fall.
